To ME, this is the ULTIMATE Cloud and Tifa song, it describes everything about them here in this song! It's even better because there's the lines "even though you're so close to me, you're still so distant, and I can't bring you back" is the PERFECT line for them, not only that because Tifa herself even said a similiar line, just like "No matter how far we've come, I can't wait to see tomorrow". Tifa says "no matter how close we've become we were much more distant before this", she also says a similiar line around the bonfire in Cosmo Canyon. The I can't wait to see tommorrow with you line reminds me exactly of the highwind sequence, that scene summed up is those lines. "Forgot all about yesterday, Remembering I’m pretending to be where I’m not anymore" is obviously a line describing Cloud and his situation. And everything else in this song is so perfect for Cloud and Tifa that I get chills! It's also a very good song. ^_^
